“With open swimming now part of the Olympic calendar, this is one way for Philippine Amateur Swimming Association to develop open swimmers who may be able to vie for medals in future Olympic Games,” explained race organizer and former national swimmer Guy Concepcion.
The 358 Swim is a multi-race competition for swimmers of all ages and abilities held in the beautiful Hamilo Coast in Nasugbu, Batangas in the Philippines. Accessible from Manila by car (2.5 hours), sea ferry (70 minutes) or helicopter (20 minutes), Batangas is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Philippines. A breathtaking, coral-rich course, the 3-kilometer, 5-kilometer and 8-kilometer open water swims are held at the Pico de Loro Beach and Country Club.
