Yumigahama Beach in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan

It is also site of the Japan International Open Water Swimming Association's Japan International Masters Open Water Swimming Championships held annually in September on the relatively uncrowded 2-kilometer long beach with decent surf and mostly calm conditions about 2 hours south from Tokyo by train where the hustle and bustle of the urban life can be easily forgotten. It is the site of the International Masters Open Water Swim Race (国際マスターズOWS弓ヶ浜大会開催) and sponsored by the Japan International Open Water Swimming Association (日本国際オープンウォータースイミング協会).
